BEACON PARTNERS TO ASK HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY EXECUTIVES “WHICH PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IS BEST FOR HEALTHCARE?”

Firm to conduct electronic poll in their booth during healthcare industry conference

WEYMOUTH, MA – February 18, 2008 – With the 2008 presidential primaries in full swing, healthcare management consulting firm Beacon Partners will ask healthcare industry executives which presidential candidate they think will most positively impact their industry.

Beacon Partners is conducting a “2008 Presidential Healthcare Poll” in their booth (#6853) at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference and Exhibition, February 24-28 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

“What better audience to ask which presidential candidate would have the greatest impact on the healthcare industry than healthcare industry executives?” says Ralph Fargnoli, president and CEO of Beacon Partners. “These individuals truly understand the issues and challenges facing the healthcare industry today.”

HIMSS attendees will be asked to take a very brief electronic survey consisting of four questions:

1. Which candidate do you believe will be the biggest advocate for healthcare IT adoption?
2. Which candidate do you believe will have the most impact on empowering providers to deliver the best possible healthcare through the use of healthcare IT?
3. Which candidate do you believe has the best plan to improve healthcare quality and reduce healthcare costs?
4. If today was election day, which candidate would you vote for?

They will be able to choose from the current presidential candidates: Hillary Clinton (D), Barack Obama (D), John McCain (R), or Mike Huckabee (R).

Results of the poll will be made available after the HIMSS Conference.
