Norwell, Mass. (July 14, 2003) - The 35,000 members of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) now have access to HIPAA Awareness Training at the Beacon Learn Center (www.beaconlearncenter.com), a web-based Learning Management System portal hosted by Beacon Partners. Each member successfully completing the course earns AARC continuing education credits.
The Beacon Learn Center is an interactive e-learning tool providing health care organizations with the opportunity to provide on-line training using either its pre-prepared course materials or an organization's custom content. It is a complete education solution that can be used to support training in a wide variety of areas including HIPAA, patient safety, reduction of medical errors, JCAHO, general policies and procedures, information system installations and upgrades, procedures for billing and collection, and staff development such as writing, communication and patient satisfaction.
